I can clearly remember my baby girl in her swing; she was truly fascinated by it. It was indeed very snuggly and comfortable and many times she fell asleep in it.
That was obviously a sigh of relief for me at times, when I too needed some rest. Of course though, not all baby swings are great, and I can attest to this since I’ve purchased a few of them throughout the years.
As a mom I know safety is always important, and that’s why I’ve written this article to help other moms or expectant moms to find the best baby swings to suit their needs.
I’ll recommend the four that I believe provide the all-around comfort and safety features that are needed in a baby swing.
FISHER-PRICE CRADLE ‘N SWING, MY LITTLE SNUGABUNNY
Just as the name says, this baby swing is indeed a snugabunny. What I immediately noticed about this swing is the comfort level as it uses very soft and plush material. This soothes your baby making it very easy for your baby to fall asleep peacefully.
When testing the Fisher-Price Cradle ‘N Swing, I also noticed that it was very sturdy and had a very secure base. This was very important to me since I’m a bit paranoid when it comes to the safety of my child.
I wanted to ensure that if she’s on a swing, that it wouldn’t just fall apart while she was swinging, so having a secure base was a great selling point.
Of course you’ll need some music with your swing, and Fisher-Price Cradle N Swing does deliver that. My baby had a selection of 16 songs and there were also 2 nature sounds that came with it.
I believe having multiple song choices is vital, as I noticed that my baby loved some songs and got cranky with others, so having a selection to choose from was great.
It’s simply a great baby swing, and if you’re like me you’ll like the fact that it was easy to fold away and store for later use.
FISHER-PRICE PAPASAN CRADLE SWING
This is another great alternative baby swing by Fisher Price. If the Cradle N Swing was a bit too expensive for you, then you can try this one as it’s a bit cheaper. I can say though, that even though it’s cheaper, it is still a very good quality baby swing.
The Fisher-Price Papasan Cradle Swing will help give you a break, and some time to unwind as you can be assured that your child is safely tucked into the swing. It’s securely built, so you’ll have great peace of mind.
It offers 16 different songs, which as noted before is a plus. One point I would like to make about this particular baby swing is the canopy. It’s a great feature, as your baby will feel enclosed and the stars will literally float along with the baby as it swings. It’s very visually pleasing.
I know one factor that comes into play for me with swings is how easy it is to clean, and I was pleasantly surprised that with this model you are able to easily remove the seat and put it in the washing machine.
It’s a very solid option for anyone looking for a baby swing.
GRACO SWING BY ME PORTABLE 2-IN-1 SWING
I truly loved this baby swing mainly due to its portability and the fact that it’s really two swings in one. The first option you’ll have is to just use it as a floor seat swing, but whenever you are ready you can easily transform it into a full swing just like the other models that I’ve mentioned.
It was setup by Graco to be an option for parents who wants to have a swing on the go, and that’s exactly what I was looking for.
My baby looked very comfortable in this swing, as it offered a very deep seat to keep my baby extremely comfortable and secure.
My only issue with the Graco Swing By Me Portable 2-in-1 Swing is that it lacks some of the options the other swings such as the music selection, but other than that I found it to come in very handy especially when traveling.
I believe it’s all about what you are looking for in a swing, and if portability is crucial then you simply cannot go wrong with purchasing this swing.
GRACO DUETCONNECT LX SWING + BOUNCER
I remember thinking how convenient it is to have both a swing and bouncer in one. With my first child I had to utilize separate swings and bouncers, but when I heard about this combined swing and bouncer, I just had to inspect it further.
What I found is that the Graco DuetConnect LX Swing + Bouncer is of course highly convenient and definitely saves you some space in your home.
Just like the other swings you’ll have a nice selection of music, along with plushy and comfortable seating for your baby. You can choose from six swing speeds, so that’s great as well.
I remember my baby loving speed setting 3, not too fast, and not too slow, but every baby will differ. When my nephew used it, he liked the setting on the highest level, so it all depends on your baby’s preference.
Without a doubt what separates this swing from others is the fact that it doubles as a bouncer, so if space is a factor or even saving a few dollars by not having to purchase a bouncer and swing separately then this is the swing for you.
Overall, you’ll notice that the baby swings that I talked about are all great options for your baby. Your decision will now be based on a few factors, which I would assume are price, durability and for some even portability.
You now have four solid options that you can choose from that are all reliable solid brands that you can trust.
If you’re like me, perhaps you’ll get two of them, one for use exclusively at home, and another that you can easily take with you while on the go.
